The Hotel Employers Labor Relations Association (HELRA) was established in 1984. As a non-profit association, we represent the interests of a number of hotels with collective bargaining agreements throughout the Chicagoland market.
Through our well-established ties with various labor unions, HELRA represents the interests of its member hotels. HELRA provides expertise on contract interpretation, mediation of grievances, general labor and employee relations advice and training. Together, we are elevating the top notch hotel industry that Chicago is known for worldwide.
Mission Statement
The Hotel Employers Labor Relations Association is a membership-based, not-for-profit, private association representing the hotel industry in the Chicagoland area.
The purpose of HELRA is to develop and foster an effective and harmonious working relationship between its hotel members and labor unions that are represented in member hotels.
